Cinelli Giro d'Italia bars. SR Laprade seatpost. Wrong saddle. Trek (oh no!) stainless bottle cages (but shaped so perfectly...).

I wasn't planning on another bike, but in May 2006 I put in a ridiculously low bid on an ebay auction for the (highly desirable) complete set of Suntour parts. I never expected to win, so when I did I was very pleasantly surprised, but also fearing the cost of finding a suitable frame. Luckily, I soon found an entirely too perfect Eddy Merckx frame and fork, had for not much less of a good deal than I got on the parts. I put it all together, feeling guilty for having a bike much nicer than I deserved. Then I rode it. What more could I want?
